53-member teachers’ association committee formed in Gafargaon

A new 53-member committee of the South Gafargaon Upazila branch of the Bangladesh Primary Teachers Association has been formed.

Ashrafuzzaman Jahangir elected as president, while Emrah Hossain Akand elected as executive president, Mohammad Shafiqul Alam Arafat as general secretary, and Sadequl Alam Azad as executive general secretary.

Leaders of the newly formed committee handed over a copy of the full committee list to Abu Sayeed, acting upazila primary education officer, and Azharul Haque, president of Gafargaon Press Club on Wednesday.

The committee was approved by Bangladesh Primary Teachers Association Central Committee President Anwarul Islam Tota, following recommendations from Central General Secretary Abdul Wadud Bhuiyan, Executive President Zulfikar Ali Pramanik, Organising Secretary Zulfikar Rahman, and Mymensingh District Branch President Ashraful Alam Sohel.
