bKash’s July-September net profit fell 25pc year-on-year to Tk147.45 crore despite 4.51pc revenue growth, while nine-month profit rose to Tk559 crore.
bKash Limited, the country’s leading mobile financial services (MFS) provider and a subsidiary of BRAC Bank PLC, experienced a dip in its quarterly profit during the July-September period of 2026, despite achieving steady top-line revenue growth.
According to the un-audited interim financial statements, the company’s net profit for the third quarter ended 30 September 2026 stood at Tk147.45 crore, dropping 25pc from Tk197.07 crore recorded in the corresponding period of 2025.
Despite the quarterly dip in profitability, revenue continued to expand.
For the third quarter of 2026, bKash reported a net revenue of Tk1,706 crore, which was 4.51% higher than the previous year at the same time.
The company said in its statement that the net profit dropped mainly due to increase in operating and administrative expenses.
For the cumulative nine-month period from January to September 2026, the MFS pioneer demonstrated overall resilience, posting a net profit of Tk559 crore, up from Tk504.78 crore in the same nine months of the previous year.
Cumulative net revenue for the first three quarters reached Tk5,398 crore, compared to Tk4,837 crore during the corresponding period in 2025.
