Jubo dal leader hacked to death

A 35 -years old Jubo Dal leader in Kishoreganj named Md. Imran was hacked to death over a demand for money owed to him on Monday night.

The incident took place at Pyarabhanga area under Maria Union in Kishoreganj Sadar.
The deceased Imran, son of Abdus Shahid in Madhya Katiarchar area of Kishoreganj sadar.

It is learnt that Imran owed Abul Kalam of Parabhanga area Tk 2,400. He left his house on Monday evening to collect the money. Later, when he went to Abul Kalam’s house and demanded the money, Abul Kalam stabbed Imran during an argument between them.

Imran was seriously injured. Later, locals rescued him and took him to Kishoreganj 250-bed General Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

Kishoreganj Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Abul Kalam Bhuiyan confirmed the incident.

OC also said no one was arrested in the incident yet. After preparing the post-mortem report, the body was sent to the morgue of Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College and Hospital for autopsy. Further legal action in this incident is under process, OC added.
