Their performances helped the university team achieve a three-gold-medal haul at the national event. The two-day competition took place at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in the capital on 23 and 24 October.
Organised by the Bangladesh Karate Federation, the tournament brought together 1,302 athletes representing 79 institutions and organisations from across the country.
The closing ceremony was attended by Professor Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, Minister for Women and Children Affairs and Social Welfare, who served as the chief guest and distributed medals and certificates among the winners.
Mohammad Shahjada Alam, former president of the Bangladesh Karate Federation, and Shahadat Hossain, Vice-President of the Shotokan Karate International Federation, attended the ceremony as special guests.
