Premier Bank celebrates 27th anniversary

The Premier Bank PLC Founder Shareholder and Chairman Dr. Arifur Rahman, Managing Director Md Monzur Mofiz, and other senior officials cut a ribbon and a cake to celebrate the bank's 27th anniversary at its head office at Shanta Pinnacle in Dhaka recently.

The Premier Bank PLC has celebrated its 27th anniversary through a colourful programme held at the bank’s head office at Shanta Pinnacle in Dhaka.

The bank celebrated the anniversary programme under the slogan ’27 Years of Legacy, Rebuild on Trust’ on Monday, says a media release.

The event commenced with a special prayer. As part of the celebration, dedicated officials were honoured in recognition of their long-standing service and commitment to the bank.

During the function, officials expressed their firm determination to work with renewed enthusiasm to sustain the bank’s progress. The celebration concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony following the discussion session.

The event was attended by Dr Arifur Rahman, founder shareholder and chairman of the bank; M Nurul Alam, FCS, independent director and chairman of Premier Bank Securities Limited; Syed Faridul Islam, independent director and chairman of the executive committee.

Md Sazzad Hossain, independent director and chairman of the risk management committee; and Md Monzur Mofiz, managing director of the bank. Deputy managing directors, heads of divisions and senior officials of the bank were also present.

In his inaugural speech as chief guest, Dr Arifur Rahman underscored the importance of responsible and sustainable banking practices.

He said, “We are moving Premier Bank forward on the path of integrity and transparency by putting an end to past irregularities. Protecting depositors’ interests, exploring new opportunities, expanding the bank’s reach, enhancing service quality and earning customers’ trust require well-planned decisions and sustained collective efforts.”

Md Monzur Mofiz said, “Throughout Premier Bank’s 27-year journey, the sincere efforts of our employees and the unwavering trust of our customers have been the key driving forces behind our progress. Grounded in integrity, transparency and good governance, we are moving forward towards a sustainable future.”
