BCB announces free entry to selected galleries for first BD-WI Test

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Friday announced that spectators will be able to watch the first Test between Bangladesh and West Indies at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital Mirpur free of charge from designated galleries.

The West Indies team arrived in the country earlier this week and are currently playing a two-day warm-up match against BCB XI in Mirpur ahead of the first Test, which begins on October 28.

The second Test will start on November 5 in Sylhet. Both matches are part of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC).

For the first Test, fans will be allowed free entry to the North and South galleries for all five days, extending the usual provision of free entry for schoolchildren at Test matches in the country.

The special arrangement, however, will not apply to the Grand Stand, Shaheed Jewel Stand, Shaheed Mushtaque Stand or other VIP and hospitality areas.
