IUB hosts MTB’s ‘Pathways to Leadership’ Roadshow 2026

The Office of Career Guidance, Placement & Alumni Relations (CGP&AR) of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), in collaboration with Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB), organized the “Pathways to Leadership” Roadshow 2026 on October 13, 2026, at the university’s DMK Lecture Gallery.

The programme aimed to familiarize IUB students with the upcoming recruitment process for MTB’s Management Trainee Officer (MTO) positions and help them prepare for the selection process.

Representatives from MTB explained the application procedure, examination stages, preparation strategies, and the benefits and career development opportunities offered through the bank’s management trainee programme.

A.K.M. Tareq, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Branch Banking Division, Mutual Trust Bank PLC, and Sharmin Akhter, Head of Recruitment, Group Human Resources, Mutual Trust Bank PLC, attended the programme as speakers.

They shared insights into MTB’s recruitment process, expectations of prospective candidates, and the professional opportunities available to successful applicants.

Md. Wasim Jabber, MCIPS, Treasurer of IUB, delivered the welcome address. He highlighted the importance of connecting students directly with employers and equipping them with practical knowledge to pursue corporate career opportunities.

The roadshow provided students with a clearer understanding of how to apply for MTB’s MTO positions and how to prepare for the recruitment examinations, enabling them to make informed decisions about pursuing a career in the banking sector.

The initiative reflects IUB’s continued commitment to strengthening industry-academia collaboration and creating direct pathways for students to engage with prospective employers and access career opportunities.
