Scarlett’s beauty brand closing down

Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson’s beauty brand ‘The Outset’ has officially closed down, just four years after its launch.

The announcement was made in a message on the brand’s official website on September 28.

In a farewell message, the company said, “After an extraordinary journey, The Outset has decided to close its operations.

We express our sincere gratitude to those who chose our products for their daily beauty routine and have been with us on this journey.”

Online shopping on the brand’s own website has been suspended since the announcement, but it has been stated that previous orders will be delivered as usual.

After announcing the brand’s launch in 2021, Scarlett co-founded ‘The Outset’ with fashion and beauty executive Kate Foster in 2022.

It was launched with the goal of creating products that are free of harmful ingredients and suitable for sensitive skin.

However, since Kate Foster resigned from the company last year, tensions have started to rise in its management.

In recent times, the market for celebrity beauty and cosmetics brands has become quite competitive.

Earlier, several celebrity-led ventures, such as singer Gwen Stefani’s ‘Give Beauty’ and Drew Barrymore’s ‘Flower Beauty’, were forced to withdraw from the market.

Now, Scarlett Johansson’s brand has also been added to that list.
