Director, actress Mohsina Akhtar gets married
Director and actress Mohsina Akhtar has started a new chapter in her life. She got married on August 21.
Her husband, Irfan Uddin, a cinematographer from Chittagong, has also acted in a few stage plays.
Irfan is soon going to study film production at the University of Greenwich in London.
Mohsina and Irfan are both members of the theatre group ‘Spordha: Independent Theatre Collective’.
Their friendship began while working together on stage. That relationship has now blossomed into marriage.
Mohsina Akhter said, “Irrfan is a sensitive person. He sees people and society the same way I see them. As a result, we decided to walk the path together.”
Mohsina gained recognition in 2017 by playing the role of Fatima in the play ‘Rizwan’ directed by Syed Jamil Ahmed. After that, she acted in plays like ‘Jibon O Polityaaniya’, ‘4.48 Mantras’, ‘Bishmoykor Sohobot’.
She directed the plays ‘Sheshaksha’, ‘Waiting for Lefties’, ‘Indur-Bilai’ and ‘Tobuo Jege Uthi’.
Apart from the stage, Mohsina acted in Piplu R Khan’s film ‘Jaya Aar Sharmin’. In it, she acted with Jaya Ahsan.
