Fortis FC recruit Mohammad Ibrahim
Mohammad Ibrahim joined Fortis FC on loan from Abahani Limited. Not only that he scored a goal in his first match in the new team jersey.
he also brought victory for Fortis FC to reach the group stage of the AFC Challenge League. The corporate club has now made Ibrahim their own.
Fortis faced off against Muras United of Kyrgyzstan at the Kings Arena in the capital in the AFC Challenge League play-off match recently.
After being goalless in the first half, Ibrahim made the difference early in the second half.
In the 52nd minute, he controlled Pa Omar Babou’s pass and sent the ball into the net with a great finish. With that goal, Fortis secured a 1-0 victory.
Ibrahim’s goal is even more important. This was Fortis’ debut in the AFC competition. And the team won in its debut and made it to the group stage of the AFC Challenge League for the first time.
The club will play in Kuwait in the main round in October. Earlier, regarding Ibrahim’s inclusion in the team, Manager of Fortis FC Md Rashedul Islam told to a local website, “We have included Ibrahim in the team for the upcoming domestic season.
He also played well in the AFC Challenge League. Hopefully, he will do better in the future.”
