Family-based music competition ‘Best Pair in the Family’

A new music reality show titled ‘Poribarer Shera Juti (Best Pair in the Family’ is starting.

This reality show is a bit different from other shows. Here, you have to participate as a pair, and you have to be members of the same family.

Musicians Sujit Mustafa, Lutfar Hasan and Sajia Sultana Putul will be the judges of this unique competition. It is organised by musician Shan Sayek’s organisation Music Art Communications.

The registration process for the ‘Best Pair in the Family’ competition has already started. Registration can be done for Tk200, which will continue until September 15.

For the audition, two people will have to submit a video of performing a song together for a maximum of 2 minutes. 30 pairs will be selected through the evaluation of the judges. The 30 pairs selected in the studio round will perform in a professional studio.

The 10 pairs selected from that round will be selected for the final round. They will undergo a two-day workshop.

There, they will be taught vocals, stage performance, and duet presentation under the supervision of renowned artists of the country. The grand finale will be held in the presence of a live audience and judges.

The winning pair will receive Tk 2 lakh as a prize, while the first and second runners-up will receive Tk 1 lakh and 50 thousand respectively. In addition, a separate music video will be made with the first three pairs.

Lutfor Hasan, who is in charge of the judge, said, “In the best family couple competition, the father or mother with the daughter or son or brother with the sister, the husband with the wife, the uncle with the niece, the gist, any couple from the family will share the stage. I am being a judge in this innovative event. I hope it will be a good event.”

Sajia Sultana Putul said, “Any two members of the family will sing a song in pairs on this stage.

Sujit sir is my music teacher. It is an honor to be with him in this event. I have been walking with Lutfor Bhai for a long time.

It is a pleasure to have him with me. Overall, I am happy with this event. I am looking forward to hearing the tunes of family bonding.”

The organisers have announced that they will soon announce through a press conference when and on which TV channel this reality show will be broadcast.
