DB arrests 3 with fake BGB uniforms in Jashore

JASHORE: District Detective Branch (DB) police exhibit a BGB uniform and other seized equipment recovered during a raid in Jashore on Saturday. Three suspects were arrested on allegations of posing as BGB personnel to commit crimes

Detectives from the District Detective Branch (DB) arrested an alleged criminal, Md Ujjal Hossain (30), along with two of his associates during a raid in the Shasthitala area of Jashore town on Saturday night.
Police recovered a Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) uniform, handcuffs, walkie-talkies and several country-made weapons from the rented house where they were staying.

The arrested Ujjal Hossain is the son of Md. Abul Kashem of Goga Gazipara in Sharsha Upazila of Jashore. His associates were identified as Md. Anarul Islam (32), son of Md. Kashem Ali of Harishchandanpur Purba Para, and Md. Tofazzel Hossain (30), son of Md. Golam Mostafa of the same area in Sharsha Upazila.

According to Additional Superintendent of Police Mirajul Islam, acting on a tip-off, a team led by Sub-Inspector (SI) Kamruzzaman conducted a raid at a rented flat on the third floor of a building owned by Rabindranath Raha in the Shasthitala area on Saturday.
