Standard Islami Bank’s financial statements approved

Shareholders of Standard Islami Bank PLC approved the bank’s 2025 annual financial statements, audit report and all other agenda items at its 27th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, held at the Police Convention Hall on Eskaton Garden Road in Ramna, Dhaka, with shareholders participating both physically and virtually, according to a press release.

Mohammed Abdul Aziz, chairman of Standard Islami Bank, presided over the meeting.
The bank presented its Annual Report 2025 and directors’ report, along with an overview of its activities and plans for the year.

Shareholders offered opinions and recommendations on the bank’s financial position and operations.
Mohammed Abdul Aziz thanked the shareholders for their participation and cooperation, assuring them that their recommendations would be given due consideration.

Riad Mahmud Chowdhury, managing director of Standard Islami Bank, delivered the closing remarks and vote of thanks.

Gulzar Ahmed, vice-chairman of the bank; directors Kamal Mostafa Chowdhury, Ferozur Rahman, Mohammad Manjur Alam, S A MD Hossain, Al-haj Mohammed Shamsul Alam, Md Zahedul Hoque, Ferdous Ali Khan, A K M Abdul Alim, Ashit Kumar Saha and Jhahedul Alam; and independent directors Golam Hafiz Ahmed and Khondoker Rumy Ehsanul Huq attended the meeting.

Professor Dr Hafiz Muztaba Riza Ahmed, member of the Shari’ah Supervisory Committee; Md Siddiqur Rahman, additional managing director; Mohammad Salah Uddin FCS, chief financial officer; and representatives of the bank’s external auditor also participated.

DSE observers Md Rakibul Islam and Md Baharul Islam Shawon and CSE observer Alamgir Kabir were present.

Md Mizanur Rahman FCS, company secretary of Standard Islami Bank, conducted the meeting.
