Anupam Roy’s concert postponed

Music lovers were ready to be captivated by the mela of tunes and songs. Fans were counting down the hours to hear ‘Amaake Amar Moto Thakte Dao’ or ‘Tumi Jake Bhalobasho’ directly from the voice of West Bengal artiste Anupam Roy.

However, even after all the arrangements and legal formalities were completed, the organisers had to stop at the last minute.

The ‘One True Sound with Anupam Roy’ concert was suddenly postponed on an order from the Ministry of Cultural Affairs.

The mega concert was scheduled to be held at the United Convention Centre in Dhaka on August 1.

Triple Time Communication was jointly responsible for organising the event. The organising company said that all preparations for the concert, starting from the necessary administrative permissions, were complete.

However, at the very last minute, the Ministry of Cultural Affairs issued instructions not to organise the concert, citing ‘unavoidable reasons’.
