Case filed against actress Sreelekha

Cases have been filed against popular actress Sreelekha Mitra in multiple police stations for allegedly displaying a distorted picture of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has demanded her arrest under non-bailable sections for displaying an obscene picture of the country’s Prime Minister during a protest against the medical entrance exam ‘NEET’ scandal.

Srilekha participated in a student protest in Kolkata’s Dharmatala on July 24 in solidarity.

BJP spokesperson Keya Ghosh alleged that the actress deliberately displayed a distorted poster of PM Modi in public during the protest.

Following this incident, BJP filed a written complaint against Sreelekha at several police stations, including Anandpur police station and Bidhannagar Cyber police station.
