‘Spider-Man’ sells 2 lakh tickets in India a week before release

With almost a week left for its release, the much-awaited Tom Holland-starrer ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ has hit a new milestone in advance ticket sales in India, with over 200,000 tickets already sold on the first day of screening across major multiplex chains in the country.

The film set a record of selling 80,000 tickets in the initial advance bookings and later 1.5 lakh.

With this number reaching 2 lakh in just a few days, it is estimated that number of tickets sold may cross 5 lakh in opening weekend.

The film is set to release in India on July 30, just one day ahead of its scheduled release in the US.
