The results of Yami’s wait

She has come a long way in Bollywood for 14 years. Starting with ‘Vicky Donor’, after that she has done more story-based work one after another. She has proven herself different time and again in her thoughts and personality. Her skills have been recognised at the 72nd National Film Awards of India.

The 37-year-old star received the Best Actress award for her impeccable performance in the movie ‘Article 370’.

‘Article 370’ won the Best Feature Film award. In a long message on social media, Yami wrote, “There comes a time in every person’s journey of life when it seems that the wait, hard work and sacrifice have not been in vain. The moment of receiving the National Film Award is just like that.”

Yami said, “In the last 14 years, I have never looked for shortcuts. Rather, I have tried to give my best in every role by trusting in my acting skills.

I believed that one day, work will speak for itself. That belief has become a reality.”

Yami plays the role of intelligence officer Juni Haksa in the movie ‘Article 370’, one of the producers of which is her husband Aditya Dhar.

Yami’s career-changing films include Aditya Dhar’s ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ released in 2019 and ‘Bala’ directed by Amar Kaushik.

Since then, producers have started looking at her in a new light. She then consciously chose roles that break the boundaries of conventional heroines and give her the opportunity to do something new. ‘Article 370’ was a major turning point in her career.

At that time, she was waiting to become a mother in her personal life. She shot for it while pregnant.
