I want to lead a selfless-life: Bhabna

Actress Ashna Habib Bhabna’s film King in the Land of the Princesses has been selected in the Best Film from the Subcontinent category at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, which will be held in Australia from August 13 to 23.

After recently returning from performing Hajj, Bhabna has signed on to two new films. Speaking about the possibility of attending the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, she said, “I do want to go, but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to. There is the visa issue.

I received the good news on Thursday, and there isn’t much time left. I’ve already started work on two new projects, and my schedule was fixed in advance.

It will be difficult to change those dates. Another challenge is that artists have to attend these festivals using their own funds.”

Earlier, Bhabna attended the Moscow screening of King in the Land of the Princesses. Reflecting on that experience, she said, “First of all, Moscow is one of my favorite cities.

It is the city where my favorite actor and director, Stanislavski, lived. I always try to represent my country through my work. Having the opportunity to represent my country is always a matter of great pride for me.

From the moment I arrived in Moscow, I felt that I was not just an artist but also a representative of my country.

The festival atmosphere was truly wonderful. Filmmakers, actors, and critics from different parts of the world gathered in one place.

Talking to them and exchanging ideas about our work became a new learning experience for me. The entire event had an artistic atmosphere that inspired me greatly.”

Speaking about her recent work,
Bhabna recently returned after performing Hajj. Asked about her realization from the pilgrimage, she said, “There is no one but Allah-that is my greatest realization. From now on, I want to live a selfless life.

Every day, I want to do at least two or three good deeds. I want to stand beside people in need. I pray that Allah grants me the strength and ability to do so.”
