‘I want to play in villain type character’ Purnima

Dhallywood actress Dilara Hanif Purnima was known to the audience as a heroine of romantic and sweet characters in her long career.

However, this time, the heroine of film ‘Moner Majhe Tumi’ famed has broken that familiar image and expressed her desire to act in a villain or negative character.

Recently, participating in a special programme on Channel i on the occasion of her birthday, Purnima said, “I really want to act in a villain or villain type character. I want to portray such a character on screen, which people will hate intensely.”

Purnima believes that because of her gentle appearance, the makers never considered her for a negative character.

In this context, she said, “I have not played a villainous character so far. Maybe no one thought much about me. Everyone thinks that a negative character will not go well with my appearance.

The audience is used to seeing me in a romantic and neat look. However, it would have been great if there was something opposite to this time.”

Purnima has been irregular in acting for many years. Although she was seen in two OTT contents about three years ago, the popular actress has been mainly busy with hosting since then.
