Following the launch of its debut episode, ‘Moner Kotha by SOFY’ has returned with a second instalment, continuing its efforts to encourage open conversations about menstruation and promote menstrual health awareness among women and girls, said a press release.

Billed as Bangladesh’s first television programme dedicated exclusively to periods, the show aims to create a safe and welcoming platform where menstrual health can be discussed without stigma or embarrassment.

Titled ‘Period Tips for School’, the latest episode addresses one of the most common concerns among school-going girls-managing periods confidently while at school.

The programme covers topics including understanding the menstrual cycle, dealing with unexpected leaks, preparing a basic period survival kit, and adopting practical tips to help girls feel more comfortable during the school day.

Co-hosted by a medical expert, the programme presents reliable health information through accessible and relatable discussions, encouraging viewers to better understand their bodies while challenging common misconceptions surrounding menstruation.

A distinctive feature of ‘Moner Kotha by SOFY’ encourages girls and women to raise questions they may have hesitated to discuss with friends or family, reinforcing the importance of open and informed conversations.

‘Moner Kotha by SOFY’ airs every Friday at 9:30am on GTV.
