



The Land Ministry’s digital services and software were developed entirely using domestic technology and the expertise of Bangladeshi engineers said State Minister for Land and Chattogram Hill Tracts Affairs Mir Mohammed Helal Uddin.
He further said that even the developer of a key software solution, created at a very affordable cost, is a student of Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET).
He made the remarks as the chief guest at the orientation programme for undergraduate students of the 2025-26 academic year at CUET on Thursday.
Addressing the new students, the State Minister said that by gaining admission to CUET, they had become part of the country’s most talented students.
To make this journey meaningful, they must remain committed to hard work, a spirit of research, and continuous self-improvement.
Highlighting various initiatives undertaken by the Land Ministry for digital transformation, he said that most land-related services are now being delivered through digital platforms. Services such as land development tax payment, mutation (registration of names), and e-Parcha are available from home through the Bhoomi App.
He also said that the attendance and field activities of government officials are being monitored through Bhoomi Drishti, a geofencing technology-based application.
Dr. Md. Saiful Islam, Director of Student Welfare at CUET, presided over the programme. CUET Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan attended as the guest of honour, while Dr. Kazi Delwar Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, was present as the special guest.
