World Day against Child Labor observed in Kishoreganj

Bangladesh has made notable progress in reducing child labour, but sustained efforts from government agencies employers, workers organisations, development partners and civil society remain essential to eradicate the practice completely.

World Day Against Child Labor-2026 theme : Red card to child labour, Fair play for children, Decent work for adults.

Kishoreganj, District Administration including Department of Inspection of Factories and stablishments (DIFE) have arranged a colour full rally, discussion marking the day.

A discussion meeting was held at local Callectorate Conference room on Monday. Deputy Commissioner also District Magistrate of Kishoreganj, Shohana Nasrin presided over the programme.

It was addressed among others by ADC(General) Istique Imon, ADM Ershadul Ahamed and Medical Officer dr.Minhazur Rahman of Civil Surgeon Office.

DC Shohana Nasrin said that laws should be implemented to control child labor in risky jobs. She emphasized on creating awareness among the people to stop child labor.
