Popular small screen actress is Sarika Sabrin. Her web series ‘Headline’ was recently released.
She played the role of ‘Dolon’ in this series, which is about the story of journalism and the struggle to find the truth.
This series shows how many challenges a journalist has to face on the way to finding the truth.
However, it is not just a story of journalism or investigation. Behind it is also a beautiful family story.
The actress said about the series, “I haven’t been on social media for many years.
So, I don’t have the opportunity to see the audience’s reaction directly on Facebook or any other platform.
However, after the release of ‘Headline’, many colleagues, friends and acquaintances called and told me how much they liked it.
They commented positively on the story, production and characters. As an artiste, this love from the audience is the biggest achievement.”
About her character, she said, “Dolon is a confident and responsible woman. In ‘Headline’ series, she is the wife of a journalist.
Incidentally, she gets involved in a big mystery that completely changes her life.
Then, through one incident after another, she has to face all the difficult situations. She tries to make decisions based on her beliefs and values.
I think many women of today will find themselves in Dolon because Dolon tells the story of how to move forward with strength despite the various crises in life.”
Even at this age, she is away from social media. The decision has given her a sense of relief in her personal life, said Sarika.
The actress said, “To be honest, I don’t regret this decision, rather I am quite relieved.
Being away from social media gives me a lot of time for myself; I can spend time with my family and enjoy a peaceful life. Of course, social media has some positive aspects.
All in all, I think peace of mind is more important. So at the moment, I am happy with my decision. I don’t know what the future holds, but I am happy with where I am now.”
Regarding new work, Sarika said, “There are currently discussions going on about a few new projects.
I don’t want to say too much right now. Because I don’t feel comfortable talking about any work before it is officially announced.
I will definitely let the audience know when everything is finalised. I always try to give importance to good stories and characters over numbers.”
