Jenna Ortega to play robot character

Hollywood star Jenna Ortega is set to play a robot in acclaimed filmmaker TaikaWaititi’s upcoming film. Waititi, best known for blockbuster and comedy films such as Thor: Ragnarok and Jojo Rabbit, has adapted Klara and the Sun, the celebrated 2021 novel by Kazuo Ishiguro.

Entertainment magazine Vanity Fair recently unveiled the film’s first-look images. The story centers on Klara, a solar-powered robot, with Jenna Ortega portraying the lead character, Klara.
