Apurba returns after 2 years

This time, Ziaul Faruq Apurba has taken on the role of an investigative journalist. The model-actor plays the central character in the new web series ‘Headline’, directed by Saleh Sobhan Auneem. Through this project, Apurba is returning to the OTT platform after a gap of two years.

The trailer for the series has already been released. It offers glimpses of the various challenges of journalism, irregularities and corruption hidden behind power, personal struggles, and tensions within family relationships. This thriller also reflects contemporary realities.

In the series, Apurba portrays a journalist named Zahir. Speaking about the character, he said, “Zahir has a fascinating character arc. He appears in different forms throughout the story.

At times, he is highly emotional, while at other moments, he is forced to make difficult decisions when confronted with harsh realities. As an actor, I am always drawn to such multi-layered characters.”

Previously, Apurba was seen playing a police officer in the 2024 web series ‘Golam Mamun’. Since then, he has not appeared on any OTT platform. Although he was expected to return through the sequel to that series, the project was delayed. As a result, he is now making his OTT comeback as a journalist.
