Buddhist monk held with 2,785 Yaba tablets

Detectives in a drive arrested a Buddhist monk along with 2,785 pieces of Yaba tablet from a hotel in district town on Wednesday.
The arrestee was identified as Owara Marma, a resident of Keyajupara area of Lama upazila and a Buddhist monk.
Mohammad Rafiqullah, officer-in-charge of DB police, said on secret information they conducted a raid in a room of Hillbird Hotel in the town around 1:30pm and arrested Owara along the Yaba tablets worth Tk2.75 lakh.
