Engineer Md. Mizanur Rahman Re-Elected President of Dhaka Sporting Club

A new 12-member executive committee of Dhaka Sporting Club Limited has been formed, with Engineer Md. Mizanur Rahman unanimously re-elected as President.

The committee was approved during a meeting held in Mirpur, Dhaka, on Saturday (June 13), with the unanimous consent of the club’s advisors. The newly formed committee will serve a two-year term from 2026 to 2028.

The newly elected committee members are —

  • President: Engineer Md. Mizanur Rahman
  • Vice President: Md. Hasanul Banna
  • Vice President: Md. Nasir Firoz
  • General Secretary: Md. Abdur Rahman
  • Joint General Secretary: Md. Zakiul Islam (Rabbi)
  • Joint General Secretary: Md. Jahangir Alam
  • Organizing Secretary: S. M. Amimul Hasan
  • Treasurer: Md. Saiful Islam
  • Publicity and Media Secretary: Md. Asaduzzaman Sahed
  • Game Development Secretary: Md. Shariful Islam
  • Member: Md. Ziaul Ahsan
  • Member: Mahmuda Akhter Mumu

Among those present at the meeting were Professor Dr. Md. Main Uddin of the Department of Banking and Insurance at the University of Dhaka, Barrister S. M. Moinul Karim of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, Associate Professor Dr. Ismat Jahan Lima of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital, and Dr. Rahat Bin Kasem, Consultant in the Department of Surgery at Kurmitola Multicare Specialized Hospital.

Following his re-election, Engineer Md. Mizanur Rahman expressed gratitude to the club’s members, players, and respected advisors.

“I am deeply grateful to the members, players, and honorable advisors of Dhaka Sporting Club. Their trust and support have enabled me to be entrusted with this responsibility once again. I will continue to work with utmost dedication for the development of the club, the enhancement of players’ skills, and the nurturing of new cricketing talent,” he said.

He further added, “Dhaka Sporting Club has already established its own identity in the country’s sporting arena as a modern, professional, and talent-focused cricket institution. We remain committed to producing quality cricketers capable of competing at both national and international levels.”
