Bangladesh’s ‘Ali’ awarded at London fest
Adnan Al Rajeev’s ‘Ali’ made history at the famous Cannes Film Festival last year.
It was the first Bangladeshi short film to compete for the Palme d’Or at the festival, winning a special mention.
The film has since been screened at several other international festivals, winning awards as well.
This time, ‘Ali’ wins London. The film has won the short film prize at the ‘South by Southwest London Festival.’
The festival authorities announced the award on Wednesday.
As a reward, director Adnan will receive $10,000 worth of post-production facilities for his next project.
