‘The University of Chankharpul’ to hit theatres today

After a two-week delay from its planned Eid-ul-Azha release, Akash Haque’s political satire movie ‘The University of Chankharpul’ is finally set to hit theatres today (June 12).

The film has secured screenings at both Star Cineplex and Lion Cinemas. Star Cineplex will host two daily shows at 11:10am and 4:45pm, while Lion Cinemas has scheduled screenings at 4:40pm and 7:30pm.

Directed, written and produced by Akash Haque, ‘The University of Chankharpul’ has already generated significant buzz among audiences for its bold portrayal of university hall culture, student politics, power struggles and youth aspirations.

The film follows a group of university students caught in fierce competition for political influence on campus, exposing the realities of power, hierarchy and ideological conflicts within student politics.

The film features a largely fresh-faced cast, including Devodyuti Aich, Rocky Khan, Bobby Biswas, Akhtaruzzaman Azad, Abu Sayed, Ifad Hasan and Niloy Bala.
