Shahnewaz Kakoli to travel to Bengaluru for advanced treatment

National Film Award-winning filmmaker Shahnewaz Kakoli is set to travel to Bengaluru, India, later this month for advanced medical treatment, as her condition has shown little improvement following a stroke.

Actor Pran Roy, Kakoli’s husband, said preparations are underway to take the filmmaker to Bengaluru’s Manipal Hospital, where consultations have already been completed and medical visas secured.

“Her treatment has been ongoing for a long time, but there has not been much improvement. We are planning to move her to Bengaluru very soon,” he said.
