Brahmanpara’s UNO tops in Ctg Division
Mahmudah Jahan, the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Brahmanpara Upazila in Cumilla, has been selected as the best Upazila Nirbahi Officer in the Chattogram Division.
This achievement, awarded under the Primary Education Award-2026, has sparked widespread celebration across Brahmanpara.
The result was officially announced on Thursday (June 4) in a notification signed by Dr. Md. Ziauddin, Divisional Commissioner of Chattogram, and Fatema Meher Yasmin, Assistant Director and Member Secretary of the Divisional Deputy Director (Primary Education) office.
According to sources, since joining Brahmanpara, Mahmudah Jahan has placed special emphasis on improving the quality of primary education. Her regular school inspections, meetings with teachers, and initiatives to prevent student dropout have earned widespread appreciation locally.
Her role in ensuring a conducive learning environment and implementing quality primary education has been widely praised.
Upazila Primary Education Officer Syeda Halima Parvin said, “Her dynamic leadership and proper guidance have made our work much easier. It is her dedication to education that has earned her this divisional recognition.”
Following the announcement, social media platforms were flooded with congratulatory messages. Leaders of primary school teachers’ associations described the achievement as a matter of pride for the entire upazila. Local educators said she is not just an administrator but a dedicated figure in education development.
Expressing her reaction to the recognition, UNO Mahmudah Jahan said, “This recognition is not mine alone; it is the result of the collective efforts of all teachers, officials, and stakeholders of Brahmanpara. I will continue working with everyone for the development of primary education in the future.”
