New BSCIC industrial estate to be built in Pabna

Commerce, Textiles and Jute, and Industries Minister Khandaker Abdul Muktadir has said a new BSCIC industrial estate will be established in Pabna district within the shortest possible time.
He said the government is committed to maintaining the country’s industrialization trend and simplifying business by removing existing obstacles faced by traders.
The minister said this on Friday while speaking as the chief guest at a views exchange meeting with industrial entrepreneurs at the Square Group conference room in the Pabna BSCIC Industrial Estate.
Abdul Muktadir said that work to widen roads, construct boundary walls, and improve drainage systems in the existing industrial estates will begin this year.
For this purpose, he instructed the BSCIC chairman to quickly submit a budget and specific proposals.
Regarding the price of industrial plots and associated costs, the minister said assured that the price of the plots will be reviewed. He also asked the authorities to examine whether any benefit can be provided to businessmen regarding industrial plot transfer fees and other fees.
The minister further noted that the government’s main goal is to create a supportive environment for entrepreneurs so that they can run their businesses without hindrance.
He expressed optimism that the proposed new industrial estate in Pabna will add a new dimension to industrialization in the region.
Industries Secretary Obaidur Rahman, BSCIC Chairman Saiful Islam and senior officials were present. After the program, the minister visited various factories in the BSCIC area.
