UCB opens new branch in Ashulia
United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) has expanded its footprint by inaugurating its 236th branch in Ashulia, aiming to strengthen access to modern banking services in one of the country’s key industrial and commercial hubs.
The new branch will serve local customers, entrepreneurs and businesses with a comprehensive range of convenient, secure and technology-driven banking solutions.
The branch formally commenced operations through an inauguration ceremony held on Wednesday at Atik Bepari Mansion, Ashulia Bus Stand, Ashulia, Dhaka.
The event was attended by UCB’s Managing Director and CEO, senior bank officials, local business leaders and other distinguished guests.
Professor DrFarid A Sobhani, Vice Chancellor of Eastern University, and MdSolaiman Ahmed, Deputy General Manager (DGM) of Dhaka PalliBidyut Samity-1, were also present at the event.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, UCB Managing Director and CEO Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid said, “We are delighted to establish UCB’s new branch in Ashulia, one of the country’s most important industrial and economic hubs.

Local businesspersons and community leaders present at the event expressed satisfaction over the establishment of a UCB branch in their area and thanked the bank authorities.
