Distributed to 1135 NCC Cleaners

Ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Adha, special grants from the Prime Minister were distributed among 1135 cleaners of the Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC). The financial assistance was handed over by NCC Administrator Advocate Sakhawat Hossain Khan at the city corporation auditorium on Monday (May 25) at around 11:30 am.

During the event, Administrator Advocate Sakhawat Hossain Khan praised the tireless efforts of the cleaners and said they play a vital role in building a clean and livable city for residents. Due to their hard work, citizens are able to live in a hygienic environment. To share the joy of Eid with them, the government has extended this support.

He said that, like Eid-ul-Fitr, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has again provided a grant of Tk 5,000 to each cleaner on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. He also assured that such support would continue in the future.

The administrator also highlighted the city corporation’s preparations for the quick removal of sacrificial animal waste during Eid-ul-Adha. He said waste removal operations would begin from 11:30 am on Eid day and would be completed within the scheduled time.

Among others present at the event were Supervising Engineer Azgar Hossain, Executive Engineer Ismail Chowdhury, Social Welfare Officer A.K.M. Faridul Miraj, Chief Accounts Officer Hemayet Uddin, Sanitation Officer Alamgir Hiron, former councillors Shawkat Hashem Shaku and Md. Shamsuzzoha, former women councillors Afsana Afroz Biva, Dilara Masud Moyna, and Masuda Mozaffar.
