Women’s nat’l football team practice hard amid hot weather and rain

The Bangladesh Women’s national football team completed an intensive one-and-a-half-hour practice session at the Don Bosco Training Ground in Goa on Monday markingpreparation for the upcoming SAFF Women’s Championship.
The session began with warm-ups, passing drills and possession-based games.
At the end of the practice session, a 30-minute warm-up match was held between the two teams, where the coaching staff focused on players’ positioning, tactical awareness, and maintaining team shape at different points in the match.
Eleven players from each team participated in the match.
The weather in Goa was quite hot and humid; the sky was cloudy during yesterday’s practice with light rain.
Despite such challenging weather conditions, the players showed great commitment and utmost concentration in their on-field training.
The good news is, all the players in the squad are currently fully healthy and there are no injury problems in the team.
After the field practice, the players also completed a pool recovery session at the team hotel in the afternoon.
The team’s next practice session will be held today from 7 am to 8:30 am at the Bambolim Athletic Stadium.
The tournament began with Bhutan-Nepal and India-Maldives matches.
Bangladesh’s first match falls on Eid on May 28 against Maldives.
The last match of their group is on May 31 against the host India.
The two champions and runners-up teams of both groups will play the semi-finals on June 3. The tournament title match will be played on June 6.
This tournament is a hat-trick mission for Bangladesh.
The BFF has sent Bangladesh Women team to a two-week camp in Bangkok, Thailand to prepare for the SAFF Wmen’s Championship in Goa, India.
