‘People of village don’t recognise Tushi now, they recognise that crazy girl’

Stars have to appear in front of the camera in many different ways for the sake of their movie characters. This time, popular actress of present generation, Nazifa Tushi did just that.

She created quite a stir by singing the song of the character ‘Pagli’ (crazy woman) in real life. In a recent interview, Tushi spoke openly about this new experience.

Nazifa Tushi said, “I was nervous at first, I was stiff with fear. It’s the song of a crazy woman.

So, I’m singing the song as such. Now everyone is very excited and likes it. I was scared at the beginning. I was crazy; I was acting crazy in the movie.

Actually, when I played the crazy character in film ‘Roid’, I was living in the village. So, I developed a kind of bond, friendship with the villagers.

So, I used to listen to a lot of songs from them. While listening to those songs, I used to hum and sing songs in the movie as a character.

So when that song was released, everyone told me, our editor, team members, ‘Let’s cover this song, we’ll perform it.’”

Tushi added, “At first I was nervous, I was stiff with fear. But then my friends and teammates gave me a lot of courage – that ‘whatever doesn’t happen, will happen. Let’s have fun.

That’s a crazy song.’ So, I’m singing the song with that in mind. Now everyone is very excited and liking it.

So, I like it very much. It feels very good that the audience was entertained, liked it, that’s a lot for me.

That I was able to entertain them a little, have a little fun, that’s what I did with them.”

In her words, “I have many funny memories. All of them are funny. I was acting crazy in the movie.

So, the people of that village don’t recognise me as Tushi. They recognise that crazy girl.”
