Australian High Commission Delegation visits KUET VC

A delegation from the Australian High Commission paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), Professor Dr Muhammad Mashud, on Thursday.

The meeting and exchange of views took place in the conference room of the university’s administrative building, where both sides discussed various prospects for future educational collaboration between Australia and KUET.

During the meeting, the two parties exchanged views on strengthening international cooperation in higher education, expanding academic partnerships, creating new opportunities for students, enhancing innovation and research activities, and increasing global engagement.
They also discussed possible initiatives aimed at boosting cooperation between KUET and various educational institutions in Australia.
Among those present on behalf of KUET were Professor Dr Khandakar Mahbub Hasan, Dean of the Civil Engineering Faculty; Professor Dr Md Rafiqul Islam, Dean of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Faculty; Professor Dr Mohammad Sultan Mahmud, Dean of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty; and Professor Dr Mohammad Abu Yusuf, Dean of the Humanities and Business Studies Faculty.
Also present were Professor Dr Md Shariful Islam, Director of the Institute of Environment and Power Technology; Professor Dr Md Rokonuzzaman, Director (Planning and Development); Professor Dr A.B.M. Awlad Hossain, Director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC); Professor Dr Mohammad Ilyas Inam, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department; Professor Dr Md Abu Zakir Morshed, Head of the Architecture Department; and Professor Dr Md Abdullah Ilyas Akter, Provost of Khan Jahan Ali Hall.
Officials expressed hope that the courtesy meeting and discussions would play an important role in expanding future collaboration between KUET and Australian educational institutions.
