XI Asia-Pacific Astronomy Olympiad from Nov 13

The XI Asia-Pacific Astronomy Olympiad (APAO) will be held in Bangladesh from November 13-22 this year at Daffodil International University (DIU) Permanent Campus at Ashulia.
In this regard a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Bangladesh Astronomical Association and Daffodil International University recently at Russian Cultural Center in the city.
Prof Dr M Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, DIU and Moshurl Alam, Chairman, Bangladesh Astronomical Association signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organization.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Dr Michael G Gavrilov, Chairman, International Astronomy Olympiad, Alexander P Demin, Director, Russian Center of Science and Culture Dhaka, Prof Dr Engr AKM Fazlul Haque, Registrar, Dr Md Fokhray Hossain, Director ( International Affairs) of DIU and Engr Sukallayan Bathar, Curator, National Museum of Science and Technology of Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Astronomical Association, DIU, Cultural Department, Embassy of the Russian Federation in Bangladesh and National Museum of Science and Technology will jointly organize this program while Guide Tour Ltd will be an associate with the event.
As per MoU, DIU will provide the logistic supports like venue for rounds, jury jobs and activities, meeting, opening ceremony and closing ceremony space during the event.
