KUET launches Campus Police outpost to strengthen security

Khulna University of Engineering & Technology on Sunday inaugurated police operations and laid the foundation stone for a proposed campus police outpost aimed at enhancing security and maintaining law and order on the university campus and surrounding areas.

The inauguration ceremony was held at university campus, where KUET Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mashud and Mohammad Zahidul Hasan jointly launched the initiative.

University authorities said the establishment of the police outpost would help ensure stronger security for students, teachers, officers, employees, and residents of nearby areas, while also enabling faster police response during emergencies.

Among others present at the programme were Mohammad Rashidul Islam Khan, Additional Police Commissioner (Administration and Finance) and Acting Head of Crime and Operations, and Sudarshan Kumar Roy, along with university officials.
