BSPA reveals short list: Kool-BSPA Sports Award

The Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA) revealed the short list of Kool-BSPA Sports Award on Monday. Marking this announcement, BSPA arranged a press conference at the Dutch-Bangla Bank Auditorium in Bangladesh Olympic Association Bhaban on the same day.

President of BSPA Rejwan Uz Zaman, General Secretary of BSPA Sudipta Ahmed Ananda, former general secretary of BSPA Md. Samon Hossain, GM Marketing of Square Toiletries Limited Dr. Jesmin Zaman were present at the conference in front of a good number of journalists.

The awardees are : Best Footballer (Male) of the Year (Hamza Choudhury), Best Footballer (Female) of the Year Ritu Porna Chakma, Best Cricketer of the Year (Rishad Hossain), Best Hockey Player of the Year (Amirul Islam), Best Archer of the Year (Abdur Rahman Alif), Best Table Tennis Player of the Year (Khoi Khoi Sai Marma), Best Badminton Player of the Year (Al-Amin Jumar), Promising Player of the Year (Cricket) (Ripon Mondol), Best Coach of the Year (Peter Butler), Best Umpire of the Year (Hockey) Salim Lucky, Best Organiser of the Year (Kazi Razib Uddin Ahmed Chapol), Best Grass Root Level Sports Personality of the Year (Alamgir Kabir) (former cricketer), Special Achievement (Shahnaz Parvin Maleka), Best Sponsor of the Year (Prime Bank Public Limited Company), Popular Choice Award (Nomination) (will be decided by vote) Hamza Choudhury (Footballer ), Ritu Porna Chakma (Female Footballer), Tanzid Hasan (Cricketer), Amirul Islam (Hockey Player), Athlete of the Year (will be decided by jury board) (Hamza Choudhury) (Footballer), Ritu Porna Chakma (Female Footballer), Amirul Islam (Hockey Player).
