No need to worry about release of ‘Bonolota Sen’: Nabila

After several delays, the government-subsidised film ‘Bonolota Sen’ is finally set to hit the big screen.

The film, based on the character of the mysterious woman in the timeless poem by poet Jibanananda Das, is scheduled to release on Eid-ul-Azha this year.

Recently, lead actress of this movie, Masuma Rahman Nabila confirmed the matter by sharing a special poster of the film on social media.

However, the legal complications surrounding the film, which has been going on since the beginning, do not seem to be letting up.

As new problems have arisen soon after the release announcement, there has been concern about it coming to the big screen.

It is heard that the film’s co-producer Tarun Majumdar has once again approached the court.

Nabila, who won the hearts of the audience with the movie ‘Aynabaji’ at the beginning of her career, is set to return to the screen after a long break.

Although the legal action of the film’s co-producer has raised fresh concerns, Nabila is looking at the whole matter positively.

Talking about the release of her film and this new problem, Nabila told the media, “It is a real joy that my film is being released for the second time on Eid.

However, I am coming to the theater after a long time with excitement, so I am also feeling a little nervous.

There should be no apprehension about the release of the film.

As far as I know, the announcement and poster were released only after the problem was resolved.

Hopefully, the film will hit the screens at the right time.”

Regarding the competition with other movies in Eid movies, the actress also said, “It is nothing new to say that audiences watch movies.

They are now watching movies of different genres. This time, that continuity will continue.”

The audience was very interested in this movie, which received a government grant of Tk70 lakh in the fiscal year 2021-22.

Director Masud Hasan Ujjal planned to release the movie in 2024, but due to the then situation in the country, it was postponed several times.

Khairul Basar plays the role of poet Jibanananda Das in the movie.

Apart from this, Sohel Mondal, Naziba Basher, Priyonti Urbee, Rupanty Akid and Sharif Siraj and many others are playing various important roles in it.
