Emraan Hashmi survived by hiding in bathroom

It happened about 18 years ago. After the release of the blockbuster movie ‘Jannat’ starring Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi, the actor attended an event in Kolkata. But there was a huge crowd of fans there.

The situation was so chaotic that the actor had to resort to innovative methods for safety.

Recalling the experience that day, he said, “The event started with a very casual conversation, but the situation quickly got out of hand and a stampede ensued.

The situation was so serious that the mall owner was forced to move me to a bathroom to manage the crowd.

Later, police had to be called to bring the situation under control.”
