Heroine Ranjita’s ear torn by hijacker, needs 7 stitches

The office of the Film Artistes’ Association of the BFDC (Bangladesh Film Development Corporation) is now bustling with activity surrounding the election of the association.

Actress Ranjita Kona came to the association’s office on Sunday to see the atmosphere of the election.

After a long time, she chatted with her colleagues about various topics including the election.

But on the way back, the actress had a robbery-like accident. As a result, her ear was torn off. Later, she needed seven stitches.

The film ‘Dhaka 86’ heroine Ranjita was quite scared after such an incident.

Later, she was admitted to the hospital with the help of members of the Artistes’ Association.

Her colleagues started flocking to see her that night.

Regarding the incident, Ranjita said in a video message, “The elections of the Artistes’ Association are always festive for us. I went to the BFDC to see it.

While returning home at night, someone suddenly followed me.

Before I knew it, the kidnapper grabbed my earrings and pulled them.”

Ranjita did not even have time to scream in this incident. She was unable to say anything due to fear.

She noticed that the hijacker was pulling her earrings from her ears and running away. She said, “I was very scared. Then I screamed.

Then I saw blood pouring from my ear. I did not have earrings in my ear. The kidnapper tore my ear when he pulled the earrings.

My ear was split in two.” Later, she called members of Artistes’ Association for help. At that time, Ranjita said that many did not help her.

Later, when she called actor Joy Chowdhury, he came immediately.

Ranjita said, “Some people including Joy took me to the hospital for treatment.

I had to get seven stitches in my ear. This is the first experience. I am already a little sick.”

The incident took place in the Rampura Bazar area. Ranjita was going home through an alley there at around 9:30pm.

The actress had diabetes and high blood pressure. Due to which she is still admitted to a hospital in Rampura.

No case or GD has been filed in this incident. The hijacker escaped with only the pendant.
