Pathao Pay joins Bangla QR, NPSB

Pathao Pay has officially joined the Bangla QR and NPSB interoperability network, making cashless payments simpler and more accessible across everyday moments in Bangladesh.

From rides and deliveries to restaurants and shopping, users can now scan and pay more seamlessly through Pathao Pay using Bangla QR – regardless of their preferred bank or payment platform.

The move marks another major step toward a more connected and interoperable digital payment experience in the country, according to a media release.

As part of the rollout, Bangla QR payments through Pathao Pay are already being enabled across popular brands and merchants, including Fair Electronics Ltd., Secret Recipe, Praava Health, Madchef, Cheez, PaglaBaburchi, Lotto, and more.

The experience is also being expanded across Pathao’s rides ecosystem, bringing scan-and-pay convenience to bikes, cars, and CNGs nationwide.

Speaking about the integration, Fahim Ahmed, CEO of Pathao, said, “Digital payments should feel effortless in everyday life.

Through Bangla QR, we are making payments more seamless, interoperable, and accessible for millions of users and merchants across Bangladesh.

This is another step toward building a smarter and more connected digital ecosystem for the country.”

Pathao Pay also plans to expand Bangla QR across online checkout and courier payments in the near future, continuing its efforts to make digital payments more integrated into everyday commerce, the release adds.
