Kaarina’s body arrives, burial today

The body of popular content creator Kaarina Kaisar, who died in Chennai, India, following liver-related complications, is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on Sunday afternoon.

She will be buried at her family graveyard in Munshiganj today after several funeral prayers.

In a Facebook post early Sunday, her father and former national football team captain Kaisar Hamid said Kaarina’s body is expected to reach the country at around 5:00 pm.

He thanked US-Bangla Airlines for waiving the cargo charge and also expressed gratitude to Deputy Secretary Hafizur Rahman Sajal for supporting the family.

According to the post, the first namaz-e-janaza will be held at 7:00 pm after Maghrib prayers at Banani DOHS Jame Mosque.

The second will take place at 8:30 pm at Banani Darbar Sharif Mosque, while the third funeral prayer is scheduled for 10:00 pm at Central Shaheed Minar.

The fourth janaza will be held after Fajr prayers at 7:00 am on Monday in Abdullapur, Munshiganj, before her burial.

Kaarina died on Saturday while undergoing treatment in Chennai. She was 31.
