Govt boosts monitoring policy for dev delivery

Stronger transparency, accountability and monitoring are needed to ensure effective implementation of government development programmes, Fisheries, Livestock and Agriculture Minister Mohammed Aminur Rashid has said.

He made the remarks at a meeting held Tuesday morning at the ministry’s conference room, where senior officials, including joint secretaries and project directors, discussed progress on the government’s 180-day action plan.

The minister said the initiative is a “pro-people programme” designed to implement the development commitments of the government and bring tangible improvements in citizens’ lives.

He emphasised that officials must carry out their responsibilities with sincerity and professionalism, ensuring that every stage of implementation remains transparent and results-oriented.

Highlighting the importance of public communication, he said government development activities should be presented in a simple and accessible way so that citizens clearly understand the benefits.

He also called for building a governance environment where authorities can confidently ensure that public services are being delivered properly and that people are receiving the intended outcomes of state programmes.
