BMDA gets new chairman
Agriculturist Hasan Zafir Tuhin has officially taken charge as the Chairman of the Barind Multipurpose Development Authority (BMDA) at the head office of the state-run organisation on Sunday.
The newly appointed Chairman took charge at an event organised by the Head Office of BMDA. A reception and exchange of views meeting was also held on the occasion. Hasan Zafir said he wants to fulfil the dreams of the region’s agriculture and farmers and bring smiles to the faces of farmers because when farmers smile, Bangladesh smiles. “Therefore, with this vision, we will all work together in unity,” he added.
The event was presided over by BMDA’s Executive Director Abu Sayeed Kamruzzaman. Special guests included members of the BMDA Board of Directors Mr. Jafurullah; Saiful Islam Hirok and Badrul Laily.
At the end of the reception and exchange of views meeting, all BMDA officers and employees, on behalf of various organizations, extended floral greetings.
After the meeting, the newly appointed Chairman inspected various works including the Sarmangla Canal in Godagari Upazila in the district.
