Moulvibazar gets new SP

Riazul Islam has joined as the new Superintendent of Police (SP) of Moulvibazar district. He assumed office on Friday.

He met with senior officials of the district, in-charges of various police stations and units, and other staff members to exchange views after taking the Oath of Office. He then officially took over as Police Superintendent from the outgoing SP, Mohammad Billal Hossain.

Police Superintendent Riazul Islam is a 28th BCS (Police) batch officer. He previously served as the Deputy Commissioner of Police of Rajshahi. After completing his official duties, he familiarized himself with senior officers, in-charges of police stations and other units, and other personnel, exchanging views and offering guidance.

During this time, he advised everyone to perform their duties with honesty, dedication, and professionalism.

Riazul Islam joined the Bangladesh Police after passing the 28th BCS examination. He was promoted to Superintendent of Police in 2023 and has been serving as Deputy Commissioner of Police of Rajshahi Metropolitan since January 6, 2025.

He was welcomed with floral greetings by the Moulvibazar District Police. Later, a team of the district police presented a guard of honor to the newly appointed Superintendent of Police.
