Woman killed in Demra motorbike crash

A woman was killed after being hit by a motorbike on the Boro Bhangha Mahakash Bypass Road in Demra area of the capital on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Dolimun Nessa, 78, a resident of Nalitabari upazila in Sherpur district.
According to family members, she was crossing the road when a motorbike struck her from behind, leaving her critically injured.

She was immediately rescued and taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where on-duty doctors declared her dead.

Inspector Md Faruk of the DMCH police camp said the body was handed over to the family without post-mortem as no complaint was filed.
