Md Akram Hossain, a Paisley-based entrepreneur, is developing business operations across several sectors while holding a community-facing role with a local organization, according to information from community groups and associates.
Hossain’s business interests include property management, construction, IT services, catering and hospitality.
Originally from Bangladesh, he moved to Malta in 2015 and later relocated to the United Kingdom in 2020, where he is now based in Paisley.
He currently serves as Community and Environmental Secretary at the Bangla Centre, which works with the local Bangladeshi community.
He is also involved in activities linked to the Paisley Labour Party, including outreach initiatives.
In a statement, Hossain said his work focuses on employment and skills development.
“Business is not just about profitit’s about people,” he said.
Individuals familiar with his plans said he is considering a future initiative in Bangladesh centred on vocational training.
The proposal remains in development, and no timeline has been announced.
Community representatives said such involvement reflects continued collaboration between local organizations and small business operators in Paisley.
